Achievers University Set to Host ‘CONAS Conference 2021’

The College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CONAS), Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State is fully prepared to host a three-day national conference.

The theme of the conference, tagged “AU CONAS Conference 2021 (Science4needs)”, which holds at the Trinity Auditorium of the University, between Wednesday, 11th August and Friday, 13th August, 2021, is “Scientific Research for National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy”. According to Dr. Temidayo Omotehinwa, Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee, the sub-themes of the conference include artificial intelligence, biotechnology science education, climate change and global warming, environmental impact assessment and management, food security, internet of things, machine learning, mathematical modeling, mineral and oil exploration, and neglected tropical diseases, among others.   

Professor Adesegun Fatusi, Vice-Chancellor, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Ondo State, will give the keynote address while Prof. Oladiran Famurewa, former Vice-Chancellor, Kings University, Ode-Omu, Osun State; Prof. Sunday Adewumi of the Department of Computer Science, Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State; Prof. Akhere Omonkhua of the Department of Medical Biochemistry, School of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Benin, Benin, Edo State; and Prof. Adewale Gbadebo of the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State are the lead paper presenters.
