Achievers University Alumna Bags African Union Scholarship; To Study Governance & Regional Integration In Cameroon

An Alumna of Achievers University Owo (AUO), Miss Ifeanyi Oweazim has been awarded a full-time scholarship by the Pan African University to study Governance and Regional Integration at the Pan African University Institute of Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences in Yaounde, Cameroon.

The Precision NG reports that Miss Oweazim, a 2018 first class graduate of the Ondo state based private University will enjoy the scholarship package for a period of 24-month.

Her letter of notification of award signed by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Elizabeth Abenga, read in part:

“I am pleased to inform you that you have been offered a scholarship at the Pan African University (PAU) to study M.Sc. in Governance and Regional Integration at the PAU institute of Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences (PAUGHSS). Congratulations on your successful application for a Pan African University Scholarship. This is a full-time scholarship.”

The Pan African University is an initiative of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union. It is a Premier continental university network whose mission is to provide quality postgraduate education geared towards the achievement of a prosperous, integrated and peaceful Africa.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Banking and Finance, AUO, Mr Kola Adegoke, while reacting to Miss Oweazim’s new feat said her track records while at the University showed a student with exceptional prowess.

“​I was the HOD of Banking and Finance under whom Grace obtained her training with the contributions of other distinguished Scholars of Achievers University, Owo. Grace, who was the best graduating student in her set, has been found to be endowed with excellent character, undoubted integrity, highly dedicated, self motivated, ambitious and exceptional leadership qualities.

“She was the President of National Association of Banking and Finance Student AUO chapter for her set. She is smart, intelligent, brilliant, hardworking, friendly and honest. She is very persevering and thinks proactively with a quick mind for details,” Adegoke, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) said.

The Precision NG reports that Achievers University was established in 2007 by Dr. Bode Ayorinde and has produced over 4,000 graduates.
