VICE-CHANCELLOR'S FOREWORD

Achievers University, Owo, was conceived by a group of Nigerians who have a vision to establish a world-class University. I was privileged to be appointed as a member of the Planning and Implementation Committee in 2004. All through the period of three years of my service in the Committee, it was clearly evident from the seriousness and the commitment of the promoters that a well-focused University would emerge.
By the time the Federal Government of Nigeria approved the University on 24th October, 2007, virtually all the facilities to ensure a smooth take-off of the University were on ground. It was, therefore, not a surprise that four months after the licensing of the University by the National Universities Commission (precisely on 11th December, 2007), the University officially started operation i.e. 2nd April, 2008.

Welcome to Achievers University
The University is located at Idasen area of Owo in Owo Local Government, Ondo State. Owo is a city which is a distance of 45 kilometres from Akure, the state capital and almost equidistant from Abuja and Lagos.

Mission Statement: The mission of The Achievers University is to provide the enabling environment - both physical and academic - for the production of competent and quality graduates who would be self-reliant, highly productive and globally relevant in every sphere of human endeavour.
